"His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence" 2 Peter 1:3 We have been redesigned from the ground up — recreated in Jesus to do good works he's prepared for you. We are new creations.

Standing Firm

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

Chaos has reigned through 2020. Thanks goodness we have the constant of Jesus Christ to hold onto. Truth has lost its place in the world. We need as a body of believers to stand in agreement to the way of salvation. We need to stand firm on the basic elements of the Christian faith. Salvation is by grace through faith in Christ alone.

This grace of God means God's presence. We were separated from God and through Jesus Christ he has brought us near to him. Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

Everything you see on the news is about this coronavirus. And so much of the response is to shutdown everything to reduce the spread of the disease. But all of that stirs up fear. Words of Grace

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

Let these words of grace work there way into your heart. "All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure." Ephesians 1:3-5 NLT I encourage you to read the first chapter today.

Our Good News Story

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

The good news story starts with the death of Jesus. Our good news story for us starts with being united with Jesus Christ in his death. We died with Christ in order to be raised with him. We know that our old self was crucified with him so we would no longer be a slave to sin. The person without the Spirit of God living in him died and was crucified. A new creation was raised and Jesus is fully alive in us.

Love One Another

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

As believers in Christ we live in a new covenant. On the day Jesus died, he ushered in a brand new covenant and with that came a new command: John 13:34, 35 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." Perfecter of Our Faith

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Andrew Farley

Can we make ourselves more holy? Can we add to the holiness Jesus gives us? We've been sanctified - set apart - by God for his purpose. We are set apart by the blood and resurrection. Hebrews 2:10, 11 "In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered. Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters."

The Promise of God's Love

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

Romans 5 says "hope does not disappoint us" and that's the hope we have in Christ. Hope lifts us up. "And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." We started with rejoicing and we come full circle and we see this hope solidified in our hearts because God has poured out His love in our heart.
