God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Have you ever heard someone say "I need to get right with God" or "you need to get right with God"? These statements are filled with fear and dread aren't they?
Here's an amazing fact. If you are a believer in Jesus, you are, and always will be, right with God.
Because of Jesus's finished work on the cross on your behalf, your sins and unrighteousness were exchanged for the righteousness of God.
Wow.
Jesus made you that way. This was his gift. Freely given by grace.
Listen to Paul's words,
"God made him who had no sin - that’s Jesus - to be sin for you, so that in him you might become the righteousness of God" (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Through faith in Jesus, you have been made the righteousness of God.
Which means you are right with him now, tomorrow, next week, and eternally.
Because of Jesus's death, burial and resurrection, you will always and forever be right in God's sight.
Your status will never change. So take your stand on this truth. Rejoice that you have been made right with God.
And you will see the fruits of his righteousness transform your life.
In Him,
Bob Christopher
