Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
God has an exclusive invitation just for you.
The invitation reads...approach the throne of grace with confidence so that you may receive mercy and find grace to help you in your time of need.
Did you hear that?
God has invited you into his presence. And he asks that you enter with confidence.
This is an invitation to take a bold step of faith, as if there is absolutely nothing to fear.
At first blush, most of us think, "How could this be?" How can we as mere mortals enter into his presence? The mere thought of entering into the throne room is unnerving.
But take another look at the invitation. God isn't inviting us to a place of judgment. This invitation is to the throne of grace. Our confidence to go in rests solely on God’s work of grace in Jesus.
Through his shed blood, he cleansed you and forgave you and made you holy and blameless in God's sight. And then he took up residence in you.
As Paul wrote, "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God" (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Jesus is already living in you. His presence is with you always. And now he calls you into his.
The throne of grace...that's where you belong. Jesus blood says you are welcome always. So go in...even when your life is at its messiest.
The invitation is there and the blood of Jesus gives you the confidence to accept.
Be bold and courageous. Go in and you will receive mercy and find grace to help you in your time of need.
In Him,
Bob Christopher
