Does God really care about me?

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God (2 Corinthians 1:3,4).

Have you ever asked this: "Where is God when I hurt?" I've wondered about this in some of my dark days. I bet you have too.

We all know that life is filled with all types of trials and tribulations. These trials seem to come at us like waves to the beach. And each of them brings a certain measure of pain and suffering into our lives. It's this pain and suffering that compels so many to call the Basic Gospel radio broadcast. They want to know answers to these troubling questions:

  • Does God really care about me?
  • If he loves me, why is he letting me suffer?
  • Will he ever heal the pain?

Yes, God cares about you. He demonstrated that care at the cross and through the gift of the Holy Spirit.

He lives in you...always. He will never leave you, nor forsake you...even when you hurt. Here is the truth - God is right there with you in the midst of your pain. And he knows what you are going through and how you feel.

He never promised to take away the trials and tribulations. But he did promise to comfort you. That is who he is. As Paul discovered, "God is the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort." He is there for you when you hurt and comforts you in all of your troubles.

The God of all comfort lives in you. He knows your pain and suffering. Cast your cares on him and trust him to comfort your soul. God sees your pain, knows your trials, and is working on your behalf.

In Him,

Bob Christopher

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?" (John 11:25, 26).

Are we in the end times?

Fri, Feb 21st

No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father (Matthew 24:36).
