As believers, are we in the flesh or in the Spirit? The Greek word for the flesh is “sarx” which not only has a physical meaning but also a spiritual one. It is the seat of carnal appetites and desires. They are worldly patterns that run contrary to God. The desires of the flesh is anything that is directly opposite the Spirit of God. At one time you and I were in the flesh – lost. Now we are in the Spirit – saved. That means we have the power to let go the desires of the flesh.
