In chapter five, Jesus, the One worthy of glory, honor and power, stepped forward and took the scroll with its seven seals from His Father’s hand. In chapter six, Jesus opens six of the seven seals, the first of three, seven-part judgments – the seals, the trumpets and the bowls.
The Four Horsemen
The first four seals reveal four horses and their riders. The imagery of these horses comes from Zechariah.
- The first horse is white. Its rider carried a bow and had a crown on his head. He won battles and gained victories.
- The second horse is red. Its rider carried a mighty sword. He took peace from the earth and caused war and slaughter of life.
- The third horse is black. Its rider held a pair of scales in his hand. He caused social and economic woes.
- The fourth horse is green. Its rider was Death and his companion was the Grave. They were given authority to kill with the sword, famine, disease and wild animals.
These four seals tell us that earthly existence cannot offer hope to human beings. The end is death.
The Fifth Seal
The breaking of the fifth seal revealed an altar in heaven. Under this altar were the souls of those martyred for their testimony concerning Jesus Christ. These souls were crying out, “How long Lord until you avenge our blood?”
A white robe was given to each one and they were told to rest a little longer. More saints were to join them.
The Sixth Seal
The breaking of the sixth seal initiated a great earthquake. The sun became dark, the moon as red as blood, stars fell from the sky, the sky was rolled up like a scroll and mountains and islands were moved from their places. Everyone hid, hoping to escape the wrath of the Lamb. The chapter ends with this sobering truth, “for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to survive?”
The answer has already been given. “Since we have now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from God’s wrath through Him” (Romans 5:9). John answered as well, “Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God” (1 John 5:4).
Revelation for You
Have you been justified by faith in Jesus Christ?
Do you know that you have been saved from the wrath that is to come?
That is the question, are you saved? How do you know? How can you be sure?
2Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is in you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.
The word of God defines faith as being sure and certain, but of what? Paul tells us in 1Corinthians 15 that the gospel by which we are saved is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
His death took away our sins once and for all, if you do not believe this then you do not believe in Jesus and are not saved.
His burial was evidence of His death which was necessary to execute His will, (the New Covenant), whereby He declares that he remembers our sins no more. If you do not believe this then you do not believe in Jesus and are not saved.
He was resurrected from the dead and lives forever, if you do not believe this you do not believe in Jesus and are not saved.
If you add anything to that gospel of death, burial and resurrection, then you have perverted the gospel and it is no gospel at all and cannot save you.
Thank you, Amen!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you, Amen!!!!!!!!!!

Your welcome, not many understand Faith, being belief, with no doubt and knowing in themselves God just love them. Doubt destroys and one goes seeking for truth, and gets abused and used, yet God the Father is Faithful to separate truth from error, praying for more to ask God over mankind for this truth.Belief gives life to the fullest in the midst of any and all adversity (John 16:33), from Father through the resurrected Christ, and one responds according to how deep one perceives that God does just love them. The deeper one sees this the deeper one love others, regardless of what they believe or not believe. LOVE GOD’S type is unconditional and thus one chooses right over wrong, in their journey from that point on, and does not force it on anyone. God’s Love is the attraction, to new life in God, at least this is how it worked for me, asking God why is God being so nice to me, and I read not long after that, that God’s kindness is meant to lead to repentance, the change of one’s mind from not trusting God (Belief), (faith), to belief, no matter what lies ahead, and oh boy it is a bumpy ride, kind of like the book of Job, Will we stand in the midst of troubles that do come at the believer’s as Job never did curse God, I have not as of yet, and if anyone ever does repent, and seek out God the Father of Christ, and know the flesh suffering just might happen and to me is for one’s good. It is not punishment, Rather God’s allowance for being perfected in God, and to keep us from harm that we probably do not see, yet God does
Fear the one who can destroy both Body and Soul, not the one that can only destroy body, think on that for a little while all in love to all
