They Did Not Repent

Revelation 9
Revelation 9 continues with the fifth and sixth trumpets. These trumpets are a study in contrast.
Trumpet 5 and the First Woe
Here we go with the beasties. What are they? Who are they? Should we be looking for particular photos and descriptions online, in news magazines and on TV?
Wrong approach! First, notice who is in charge. God is. The events of Trumpet 5, perpetrated by Satan, are limited in scope and effect by God. The suffering caused lasts but a short time and no one is allowed to be killed by it. In addition, God’s people are not touched by it at all.
The fact that the situation is described twice in slightly different way adds emphasis to what is identified as the First Woe. Remember, though, that Satan is revealed as the source of all this suffering. God is not to blame.
Trumpet 6
Look back to Revelation 7. Four angels were told not to harm the earth, sea or trees until God’s bond-servants had been sealed. In Verse 14 of this chapter, those angels are released. God’s bond-servants have been sealed. They are completely safe. They belong to Jesus, and no one can take them out of his hand.
These angels were released to kill 1/3 of mankind! Think about that for a minute or two. They are the agents of God’s wrath which is being poured out on the earth. Their proxies are the two hundred million horsemen.
Notice, though, that, besides impressive breastplates, there is almost no attention paid to the armies themselves. Instead, it is the horses that spew fire, smoke and brimstone out of their mouths. God is making it very clear that he is in charge. He decides how judgment is carried out.
Verses 20 and 21 are sad and chilling at the same time. The rest of the world “did not repent.” Apparently, repentance still is possible, but they refuse.
Revelation for You
What clues to God’s incredible mercy are in this chapter?
How can you be certain that you will not face these judgments?

  1. I find revelations interesting, and many have tried to figure it out, and I am sure even the Evil one, just as the devil tried for years to figure the coming Christ, after the fall and the prediction of the coming Messiah in (Gen. 3:15) Christ. By the time it came to Christ, the Evil one was very confused, so much that The devil encouraged through man’s thoughts, injecting thoughts to kill the Christ only played in God’s hands and purpose. By this, what Christ did and the devil failed at, the believers are safe and secure in the arms of God through the Savior Christ. Belief is in the finished work of god the Father through Christ’s last sacrifice and last shedding of blood for all that believe this, and have put their life in God’s hands to do with them whatever God decides.
Revelations is coming, is here, all will happen as God has foreseen, and God knows what will happen next, I do not think God ever surprised as we are, It is hard to see the amazing Mercy God has delivered to all that believe God, it is done through the Christ, but tis world has taken on an amazing gloss over this one fact that is truth.
    Colossians 1:22
But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation—
Does everyone see that scripture above? Is that true or are you still trying to stop sin in the energy of your own flesh and asking God for help?
How can anyone improve on what is said that is done?
Either you believe god and start thanking God in praises , worship and thanksgiving, entering his courts?
Or you continue on to be the best you can be, and be rewarded by man, in man’s synagogues?
Please see how deep God’s Mercy is and ask God to do in you what you can not ever do in self. Grow into maturity, starting with you are forgiven it is done for you by God, so you can stand in the midst of any adversity that is here and coming from the Evil one.
Think hard and long about it, what do you value the most here on earth? Is it your kids, your spouse, your house, your money, and the list of earthly things goes on and on.
Whatever you value the most will be used against you to deny Christ, and take the mark that you belong to this world. you might be tied up in court, and have your kids and spouse used as leverage for you to deny Christ and Father of/ Threats as you will ever see them again, they will kill them if you do not deny Christ and take the Mark.
Are you ready? do you trust God over all the world and everything it has to offer?
Over, Mother , brother, sister, spouse, kids. money, job, house
Through it all, God does just love you all, and it is shown through his Son at the cross to all. All that is left is to either believe God or not believe God
My free will choice and everyone else’s as well.
I have decided to give up what I think I need at the moment for what I know I need in the long run.
That is my earthly life that is temporal, for God’s everlasting life. Anyone else?

  2. The thing to bear in mind is that the word “repent” is an old English word that was never used in the scriptures until 1611, nearly 1600 years after Jesus ascended to the right hand of God. The Greek word , which is the original language the new testament was written in, that is translated as repent means either to change your mind or change of heart.
So whenever you see the word repent, simply insert change your mind. For instance, in Revelation when it reads the rest of the world did not repent, read: the rest of the world did not change their mind. Look up all the verses containing the word repent, and insert change your mind and it will all make a lot more sense.
Repent does not mean turn from sin,if it did then why does Psalm 110:4 read
“The Lord has sworn and will not repent…..”
God does not sin, so He also does not turn from His sin.
