Sat: No More Sacrifice
Barbara was downright mad.
She wasn’t happy about my discussion on Hebrews 10:17, 18 which says, “Their sins and lawless acts, I will remember no more. And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin.”
This New Covenant promise explains Jesus's victory cry, “It is finished!”
Nothing more needs to be done. Now this doesn't sound right to our way of thinking. Aren't we supposed to offer up something to God when we sin? This was Barbara's beef.
But grace does not conform to our way of thinking.
- In Christ you already have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
- In Christ you are a forgiven person.
And that's good news!
