This is the last broadcast as Basic Gospel. We are grateful for the love and support of our listeners and we thank God for each and every one of you. Today’s message is the Great I Am. Our Christian life begins and ends with Jesus. He holds everything together. Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.” John 8:58. Jesus is always going to be the Great I AM in your life. Rejoice in the truth that he will never leave you or forsake you. Open the door of your heart and say “yes” to Jesus Christ.

He is alive! This is the greatest message ever told. This gospel message is a message of life. We see that through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:17 says “And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.” But, thanks be to God, Jesus was raised and in him we have eternal life.

When you look at the Christian life you can see it's a life of thankfulness. A life of saying "thank you" for all God has given us in Jesus Christ. He is our constant. Nothing can separate us from Him. We have crossed over from death to life. He has made us alive. By living out this thankfulness, we can have a grace effect upon those we meet. "Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name." John 20:30-31

• Where in Genesis does it state that Adam and Eve are the parents of humanity?
• Charles asks about the possibility of his living son to talk to his dead son. Is that biblical?
• Jay writes: please explain this phrase found in Galatians 3:19: "having been ordained through angels by the agency of a mediator."

Thanksgiving is a time when we as a nation pause and gives thanks for all our blessings. As believers, we know that faith always says thank-you. Give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you (1 Thessalonians 5:18). It is because of the sacrifice of Jesus that we are saved by grace. That initiates a life of thankfulness. Popular religion is all performance based. This Thanksgiving we can truly be grateful that Christ has done it all.

A familiar passage in the Word is Ephesians 2:8-10. It begins "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them." Ephesians 2:8-10 Everything we experience as believers is by grace through faith. There is nothing we can do to - salvation, eternal life, righteousness, holiness, etc. is a gift of God.

• What happens when your faith fails?
• Can a believer be filled with the spirit without speaking in tongues?
• And since the Bible refers to being sealed by the spirit, is speaking in tongues proof that one is sealed?

What is the first Bible verse that you memorized? Bob Davis answers with John 3:16. The life that God has called us to is a life of trust. To trust in the Lord. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

• The day after I was saved religion started me on a self improvement life. Now it is Grace and nothing else. Basic Gospel spoke the truth and I like it mush better.
• In light of the fact that all my sins are forgiven, what do I do when I sin?

How do we please God? What are His expectations? So often we question our relationship with God by questioning who we are in Christ. However the truth is that our identity in Christ is secured by Jesus himself and we are pleasing to God through our faith in Christ.

Thanks to all who attended the conference. It was a very special event. We got to meet many people who watch us online. I got to share Galatians 2:20 which is really a summary of all we teach. "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me."

Pleasing God is a beautiful adventure of trusting God and walking with Him. When I put my confidence in the finished work of Christ I am pleasing to God. We take all His promises by faith.

What are the things religion can't do for you? Today we look at life. There are lots of religions, but religion can't give us life. "Is the Law then contrary to the promises of God? Far from it! For if a law had been given that was able to impart life, then righteousness would indeed have been based on law. But the Scripture has confined everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe." Galatians 3:21-22

We know intuitively that God is holy. We know that His character and essence is far beyond ours. Through his reconciling work on the cross, Jesus presents us to God as holy and blameless. Hebrews 10:10 puts it this way: "And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all." He made us holy so that he could dwell within us.

We search for joy, contentment, and peace in all kinds of things in this world. But true joy, contentment, and peace is only found in Christ. And nothing can separate you from the love of Christ Jesus. Paul writes: "I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at length you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned for me, but you had no opportunity. Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. ... I can do all things through him who strengthens me." Philippians 4:10-13

All roads lead to Philippians 3. It sets the stage for our purpose and reason for being in life. "For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical. But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God." Romans 2:28-29
