No Condemnation in Christ
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis
"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." Romans 8:1 There is no condemnation for you because you are in Christ. That is life changing news. Why is this so important? Because you have an accuser, an enemy, that stands against you. But you can rest in the reality that is found in Jesus Christ alone.

A New Commandment
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis
Toward the end of his life Jesus gathered his disciples to prepare them for what was ahead. In John 13 Jesus chooses to wash the feet of the disciples. It was to show the full extent of his love. The next day he showed the ultimate act of love through his death on the cross. In the washing of the disciple's feet, he shared a new commandment. "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." John 13:34-35

The Most Relevant Thing
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis
Your life intersects with the life of Jesus Christ. The event that took place 2000 years ago is actually the most relevant event in your life today. Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, inquiring what person or time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories (1 Peter 1:10-11). This grace of God was prophesied by the prophets of old for you. We experience the same glories by grace through faith in Christ.

By Grace, Through Faith Reality
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis
A familiar passage in the Word is Ephesians 2:8-10. It begins "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them." Ephesians 2:8-10 Everything we experience as believers is by grace through faith. There is nothing we can do to - salvation, eternal life, righteousness, holiness, etc. is a gift of God.

One of the most assuring passages in the Bible is found in John 10:22. One of the most often asked questions is surrounding one's assurance of their salvation. Live a New Life

Before we got new life we had to go through death. The story of the Gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. God had to take us though death to bring us to life in Him. "What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! ... We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life." Romans 6:1-4

Christianity is a Relationship
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis
Eternal life is knowing God the Father and Jesus Christ the Son (John 17:3). Knowing God and being known by him is Christianity. If we are going to know him, we must go to him by faith not by religion. This relationship that starts at the foot of the cross of Jesus Christ is fulfilled as Christ the Risen Lord comes to live inside of us. It is him working in us that which is pleasing in his sight. It's a win-win situation. We get to know God and through that relationship we know what His will is for our lives.

Where did these manmade religions come into being? We need to go back to the beginning... to the story of Adam and Eve and the fall. Totally Forgiven

Religion can't give you a sense of being forgiven once and for all. When humanity invents a religion, they create a formula for you to follow. However, the Gospel claims that Jesus has cleansed us once and for all. Hebrews 10 proclaims this truth. We are totally forgiven people in Jesus Christ.

Religion vs. Christianity
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis
Christianity is not a religion; it's a relationship with Jesus Christ. As believers in Christ, we know God the Father. We know firsthand, from heart experience, that God is love. Religion can't open the door to relationship. Religion can't cleanse us from the inside. God is always interested in the heart. Mark 7:14 says there is nothing from the outside that can defile us because it doesn't go into the heart.

Man-made religion efforts will never bring you to an understanding of God's love and grace. Religious efforts to do more and be more come up short. Jesus addressed this issue in Mark 7:3-8.
