From Sinner to Saint
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis
What you see with every human being is the quest to find the answer to the question, 'who am I?" The Bible answers that question for us and we find the complete answer in Jesus Christ. Apart from Jesus we are sinners by nature. When we come to Christ we become saints. A brand new identity.

The Cornerstone
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis
The death, the burial, the resurrection of Jesus Christ is the good news. It's the good news that happened 2,000 years ago. And when you hear the good news and make it your story "Christ in you" becomes your story. Peter talks about this in his first letter. "As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ." 1 Peter 2:5-6

Of First Importance
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis
What is the Gospel? Paul spells it out clearly: "Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain." 1 Corinthians 15:1-2 "For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received..."

Righteousness From God

Manmade religions can't provide the things we need. It can only make us restless. "For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh—though I myself have reasons for such confidence. Religion Never Touches the Heart
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis
Man-made religion efforts will never bring you to an understanding of God's love and grace. Religious efforts to do more and be more come up short. Jesus addressed this issue in Mark 7:3-8. God's single commandment to mankind is to trust Jesus. To be free, embrace the simplicity of the good news of Jesus Christ.

Close to God
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis
There are many ways we come up with to be closer to God. But we don't have what it takes to get us there. "What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, 'You shall not covet.' ... Location and Relationship
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis
Every human being wants to know how to be close to God. Eternal life is defined in John 17:4 - it is knowing Him relationally, from the heart. We are in Christ and Christ is in us. That's the closeness of location. But there's another kind of closeness - that of friendship through the heart. That's the closeness of relationship.

God Works in You
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis
So many ask, "How can I be close to God?" And often that has to do with feeling. They want to feel close to God. But closeness to God has to do with location, not a feeling. Our feelings change, but the truth of Christ in you will never change. We are one with Him in spirit. "Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure." Jesus' Claims
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis
Do you know what you believe about the death, burial, and resurrection? It's the Gospel story. But, why is it relevant to you? Jesus died for our sins in accordance to scriptures. Jesus was buried. Proof of death is necessary for a will to go into effect; therefore, the New Covenant is in effect. Why was Jesus raised? It is proof that all of his claims about himself are true. It also means that we, too, are raised to walk in the newness of life.
