If we don't understand the love of God demonstrated at the cross, we're not going to understand the love of God. I know there are people worried sick that God is going to punish them. God is not punishing you for your sins. 2,000 yrs. ago Jesus saw every sin you would commit and took those sins upon himself and took the full wrath of God to pay your sin debt in full. Settle the issue that if you are in Christ, you are forgiven.
