A New Way of Righteousness

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

We're called to walk by faith in the newness of life. It's difficult because we think we have it figured out. But there is only one way to pursue righteousness. Paul writes about it in the letter to the Romans 9:30 - 32 "What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; but the people of Israel, who pursued the law as the way of righteousness, have not attained their goal. Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works."

  • Could you explain the parable in Matt. 25 about the lamps and oil and the coins? And Luke 12:32-40?
  • Who are the rulers and authorities mentioned in Eph. 3:10?
  • When they talk about him being Elijah, are they meaning literally or figuratively?
  • Do you have to pray for what he always wants?
  • Do I have to pray for what God already wants?
