The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. We see the foundation of this in Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ: and I myself no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And the real life I now have within this body is a result of my trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." It doesn't take a special gift or ability, but simply faith in the finished work of Christ to live the Christian life.
