Jesus Christ defined eternal life this way: "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent." As we grow in grace we grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. John addressed this growth in 1 John. He addresses, children, young men, and fathers. How would a father's knowledge of God differ from that of a child? Think about a long term relationship you've enjoyed. What do you know about that person now that you didn't know when it first started? How has that knowledge strengthened and enriched that relationship? How has that knowledge changed you?
