The Old and The New
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer
What is the difference between the Old Covenant and the New? The Old was a contract between God and Israel. The New is God's promise to us. Galatians 3:21-23 highlights 3 other differences: The Old could not make us righteous, in the New we receive the gift of righteousness. The Old required our participation, the New is a gift. The Old could not impart life, but the New Covenant is a ministry of life. Once we turn to Jesus by faith, we are released from the Law and step into the New Covenant and it's better promises.
- Tracy in Kansas tells how God used our CD series, The Power of 8, to make the grace and love of the Lord Jesus real in his life and how it motivates him to share the news with others.
- Brad, on YouTube, asks what to say to people who say our obedience to the law is a demonstration of our faith? 8 Manuel, on Facebook, asks about John 15:14 "If you love me you will keep my commandments."
