The Goal is Equality
Richard Peifer, Bob Davis
We're in the final week of our conversation on grace and money. This week we're looking at the how, why, and where you give. Today we'll talk about giving with an expectation of equity. 2 Corinthians 8:15 "The goal is equality, as it is written: 'The one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little.'"
- Where do we stand in terms of giving with an open heart?
- Is 1 John 5:7-8 properly translated? "For there are three that testify: the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement."
- I hear many state that you must give ten percent or you will cursed by God. What do you think of this teaching?
- How can 1 Corinthians 11:32 "Nevertheless, when we are judged in this way by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be finally condemned with the world." be correct if there is no condemnation for those in Christ?
