Grace Says "No" to Sin
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer
One of the basic truths that we find is that we are New Covenant Christians. This is a covenant of grace. There's a big distinction between the old and the new. The Old shows us our sin and the wages for sin - which is death. The Old doesn't teach us to say "no" to sin. But in Titus 2:12 we find that "[grace] teaches us to say 'No' to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,"
- Does God watch over everything we do? Is He like a meddlesome government trying to only do good for itself?
- Is "the all things for life and godliness" the Holy Spirit?
- In Matthew 7:23 Jesus says, "Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'" What did Jesus mean by this?
- What does Hebrews 9:27 mean? "Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment"
- Dominic wonders how God can be everywhere if He's not in Hell?
