Christ in You, The Hope of Glory
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer
This Sunday we celebrate Pentecost. This distinguishes Christianity from every other religion on earth. The very Spirit of God — the teacher — comes to live in believers. Paul put it this way in Colossians 1:27: "To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory."
- What is the true mode for baptism? In the name of Jesus or the Father, Son, and Holy Spirt?
- Why does Paul's statement seem uncertain in 2 Corinthians 13:14 "May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all."
- Why does Paul continue to pray for things we should already have? 2 Thessalonians 1:11 "With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith."
- How do we grow in grace? Is it through our intentional work to grow?
- Don asks the question: "What are we doing with the reality of Christ in us?"
- I'm confused with the churches where the emphasis was on the ministers and not Jesus.
