The New Temple of God
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer
We see that one of the themes throughout the Bible is God trying to find a home on Earth. Initially it was in the Garden. Later it was the Tabernacle. And we see that David had the desire to build the Temple. On the day of Pentecost a new temple was established. We have become the new temple of God. In 1 Corinthians 3:16 we read "Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in your midst?" and again in 6:19 "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?"
- Philippians 4:8 tells me what to think about —"Whatever is true, pure, lovely...". What do I think about based on this verse? Do I think about what Jesus has done for me?
- When Jesus said, "I go to prepare a place for you" - was He saying He would prepare a place through the cross?
- In regards to grace and sin, Teresa asks, "who would willfully want to grieve a loving and compassionate Father?"
- Does our holiness have to do with our appearance as well as our heart?
