Christ Came to Make the Father Known

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

We've been talking about the reason Jesus came to earth. We know that He came to do His Father's will so we can stand before God as righteous. In John 1:18 we read, "No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known." So Jesus came to make the Father known. This is how we come to know God. This is all part of the marvelous relationship we have with God through Jesus.

  • What is the true meaning of Christmas? Why do we celebrate Jesus' birth on the 25th if it's not His birthday?
  • So my question is simply If we are secure in salvation, why ARE there warning passages like Hebrews 6:4-6 and 10:26?
  • W.C. comments about the origins of the modern "Christmas" holiday.
  • Wayne questions whether Christians should celebrate on Dec. 25th.
