On Whom Are Your Hopes Set?

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

We're talking about hope this month. All too often though we place our hope on the wrong things. Consider the Pharisees who rested their hope on the law. The law condemns, judges, punishes, and brings death. Their hope was in living up to the law. "But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom your hopes are set." John 5:45 So consider what or whom you place your hope.

  • I heard someone ask a question concerning whether everything Jesus says in the Bible is exactly word for word, and that things got misinterpreted as the stories were passed down.
  • When you say your sins are forgiven, what does that mean to you?
  • Clif asks about the Lord's Prayer. Is it fulfilled or should we continue to pray along those lines?
  • Ken wonders where the separation between those of Israel and those of the Gentiles comes from.
