Jesus Himself is Our Hope
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Andrew Farley
The Bible is filled with promises of hope. Hebrews 10:23 reads: " Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful." The hope we have in Jesus Christ is the same hope the early church had as they faced trials and tribulation of all sorts. We can hold tight to the hope of God because of God's faithfulness.

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis
We all yearn for the love of God and we do all we can to earn it. But the love of God isn't something we can earn. 1 John 3:1 "See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are!" Let your faith be manifested in love.

Grace and Truth
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Andrew Farley
So often when people think about God they think of a God full of vengeance. But when we see Jesus we see a God full of grace and truth. We seek closeness and we find in in Jesus Christ. Forgiveness Opens a Door
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Andrew Farley
Forgiveness opens a door for us to experience God's grace. Peter writes about this in second letter: "... For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins." 2 Peter 1:5-10 We are as forgiven today as we will ever be.

Your Place of Rest
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis
For many Christians, they've already found their place of rest. But too many are still trying to find that rest. So let's talk about how to find your place of rest. That's tied to Jesus' death upon the cross 2,000 years ago. The Gospel starts with his death. But why did he die. Hebrews 9:22 answers that: "Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins."

You Are Free
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis
You are free — free to express your life through Christ. "So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions. Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness. For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace." Romans 6:11-14

A Place of Rest
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer
The world is full of restless people. Restlessness is the result of sin. Adam and Eve were in a state of rest with God before the fall. A relationship with God starts from a place of rest through faith in Jesus' finished work. We don't try to earn God's favor; we simply rest in the work that Jesus accomplished for us. "There remains then a Sabbath-rest for the people of God" (Hebrews 4:9). If you believe that Jesus won the victory through his death, burial and resurrection then you can experience rest in your life.

The Grace Guide to Marriage - part 16
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer
In a follow up discussion about divorce and remarriage, we explore the issue of remarriage. Is there hope for another relationship built on the foundation of Christ Jesus? The answer is a resounding "yes". You are not unworthy because of divorce - you are a child of God who has been divorced. First, figure out what went wrong in your marriage. Go to the Lord and ask him to reveal to you the mistakes that were made. If you find someone you are interested in, it is vitally important to first build a friendship and leave the results up to the Lord. People who are content in Christ can experience the oneness God desires for marriage. Let your remarriage be a reflection of the very love of Christ, the church. With Christ, there is great hope.

The Grace Guide to Marriage - part 15
Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer
If I have been divorced, is it OK for me to remarry? We hear that question time and time again. The Biblical framework for marriage is that a man leave his parents, become one flesh with his wife, and serve one another in love. There is no doubt that divorce is sin and comes from the hardness of the heart. God hates divorce because it brings about all kinds of pain and does harm to everyone involved. However, divorce is not the unpardonable sin. Jesus has removed our sins as far as the east is from the west. If you have been divorced and desire to remarry, commit yourself to building a strong, biblical marriage.

He Has Overcome the World

One of our favorite verses and one that has authority in our lives is found in John 16:33 "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world." There is only once place to find peace. You will find your peace in Jesus Christ. If this holiday season you're feeling down and have lost your way, don't look to the world for peace. Look to Jesus alone.
