Identified by God's Grace

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

"But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me. 11 Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed." 1 Corinthians 15:10 Everything about Paul from the moment he met Jesus was given to him by the grace of God. And that's the same for you and me.

A Door of Grace

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Andrew Farley

"The former priests were many in number, because they were prevented by death from continuing in office, but he holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues forever. Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them." Hebrews 7:23-25 Because Jesus lives forever he has a permanent priesthood and he is able to save us completely.

Confidence in Life

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

Love never fails (1 Corinthians 13:8). This means that love never falls away, never departs from us. We can count on steadfast love in the person of Jesus Christ. This is our confidence in life.

It Starts with the Knowledge of God

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

If you want to know how to pray, just read through the letters of Paul and pay close attention to his prayers. In Ephesians 1:15 Paul writes: "For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers..."

A Greater Law

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Andrew Farley

Romans 7 explains how the resurrection impacts you directly - you died to the law, so that you now serve in the new life of the Spirit. This truth makes all the difference. Craig asks about Genesis 14:17-24, which is often used to support the practice of tithing. Jesus himself said that tithing is a matter of the law. We no longer are under the law and can practice the grace of giving from the heart. The next question is about 1 John 4:20, 4:8, 2:15. Does this mean we can never be annoyed with others?

You're a New Creation

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Andrew Farley

Do you - as a believer - have a "deceitful" and "wicked" heart? Should your heart be tested, not trusted? One of my favorite passages is from December 30:6 is really prophetic about what has happened to you now that you're in Jesus Christ. "And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your offspring, so that you will love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live."

Regardless of whatever is going on in our daily lives we have Jesus. He has promised to never leave us or forsake us. So Much Grace

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Andrew Farley

What is your story of grace? "For if, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ." Romans 5:17 For us to reign in life we have to receive some gifts. We have so much grace we never run out. When you put grace and righteousness together in Jesus you will always find your balance in him.

How do we stand out as believers in Christ in the culture of confusion. Paul looks at that in 2 Corinthians 5:20 "Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God." We are representatives of the Kingdom of God. We are make an appeal to people to be reconciled to God.

Standing Firm

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

Chaos has reigned through 2020. Thanks goodness we have the constant of Jesus Christ to hold onto. Truth has lost its place in the world. We need as a body of believers to stand in agreement to the way of salvation. We need to stand firm on the basic elements of the Christian faith. Salvation is by grace through faith in Christ alone.

Called to The Tree of Life

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

When we look at the news and see what's going on it can be very scary. We don't know what to think. When Adam and Eve partook of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil that brought evil into this world. There is this constant tension between good and evil. Paul wrote: "... For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good. ..." 7:14-24 God has called us to the Tree of Life!

Live to Righteousness

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

"For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps. He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth. ... He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. Your Sins Have Been Sent Away

Richard Peifer, Bob Davis

The word forgive means to send away. Only the person sinned against can take the initiative to forgive. So how does God do that? Hebrews 9:22 "Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins." And you need both the death and the resurrection to provide this forgiveness of sins.

Founder of Our Salvation

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

Jesus took upon himself our humanity. He was fully God and fully human. And just like we die, he died. But through his death he destroyed death. "Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, ... Therefore he had to be made like his brothers ..., so that he might become ... high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. ..." Hebrews 2:14-18
