If you want to know what the will of God is for your life, you need to go to the New Covenant. It is spelled out right there. We tried to do the will of God, but we couldn't. However Jesus could and did.

• When they talk about John being Elijah, are they meaning literally or figuratively?

His death, burial, and resurrection allows us to enter into relationship with God the Father and Jesus Christ. What is the reason for the New Covenant? Wasn't the Old good enough?

• I'm glad God brought the New Covenant. It allows all people to come to Him.

The New Covenant is based upon the achievements of Jesus Christ. If we're going to live in the grace of God we need to let go of the old and grab hold of the new.
