We Are Not Alone

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

The power of the basic Gospel is that Christ is alive living in us today. We are not alone. He encourages and comforts us. We have His truth and power at our beck and call.

  • Are all the Trinity all equal and all the same powerful?
  • What are the requirements of a pastor according to Scripture? What about a pastor that's going through a divorce?
  • What is God's purpose for someone in a church?
  • Please explain Acts 8:16 concerning their salvation and baptism. Are there two separate workings of the Holy Spirit?

The Peace of God

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

We're talking about pain and suffering and all those things we go through. But the reason we're talking about this is because there's an answer in the Gospel. It's so easy for us to get anxious. The Word of God has an answer for you.

  • I've not been a member of church for sometime. Basic Gospel has changed my life so much. Some people believe you can lose your salvation. Are those people saved?
  • How do we approach the anxieties of life?
  • I do believe you can lose your salvation. What did Paul mean by not wanting to be disqualified?
  • I've rededicated myself to Christ. How do I find a church?

Be Anxious for Nothing

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

When we think about hurt, there are two kinds. Physical kind and emotional kind. We don't really think about the physical. But the emotional pain is what really overwhelms us. So how do we get healing for this emotional pain?

  • Have you heard of the "G12 Movement"?
  • I'm concerned about how the churches won't intervene for the children regarding the CPS.

Renewing the Mind

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

Some of the nature of our hurt is emotional. We experience all kinds of emotions. Does the basic Gospel have the answer for that? The resounding answer is yes.

  • Before God created the world there was total darkness and void. Is this a description of Hell?
  • I hear so many people talk about rhema. Is this both the written and spoken word?
  • Why is the whole world trying to lead us away from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ?
  • It sounds as if Paul claims he can be disqualified if he doesn't run or complete the race?
  • Is there prophecy today?

Special Guest: Bart Millard

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer, Bart Millard

We've been talking about how to rise above circumstance in our lives. We like things to go well and life to go easy. But that's not life as we know it. We need to know the grace of God which provide the framework to solve the problems of our lives.

  • My brother is a member of a group that believes that if you love God you will keep all 613 laws. They don't believe Jesus will forgive any future sins. He believes you must live a sinless life. What do you think of this?
  • Bart Millard, author of "The Hurt and The Healer", joins us for the broadcast.
  • Bart talks about how he really heard the grace message in Andrew Farley's book, "The Naked Gospel".
  • "Somewhere along the way, we don't trust that what God did was/is real. When we trust that God has our best interest in mind, we become like a kid with a power tool."
  • "I began to trust in what He did was very real. All of a sudden I believed I had a message that people need to hear and long to hear."
  • "If you trust that God is madly in love with you, all of the other stuff will fall into place."
  • aired at 3 and 3:30pm

The Law Kills - The Spirit Gives Life

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

We all go through trials an tribulations in this life. It's just part of life. I was thinking, "what if we could have a conversation with Paul about this"? He would speak the truths of God into our lives. We need the ministry of the New Covenant.

  • I'm trying to understand 1 John 4:10 "This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins." Deuteronomy 30:6 "The Lord your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, so that you may love him with all your heart and with all your soul, and live."
  • How long did Jesus have to suffer? Why do we have to suffer?
  • Are Christians and LDS the same?
  • Do I blaspheme God when I use the phrase, "God's love"?

Ministers of a New Covenant

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

"He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant." Paul ministered the New Covenant. If we're going to experience freedom in Christ, we need to receive the ministry of the New Covenant.

  • Throughout the Scriptures God has called out some to be saved and some not. What do you say about election?
  • I saw a sign that asked, "Abraham: Jew or Christian?" How do we know that Christianity is right?
  • Galatians 2:21 "I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"
  • Jesus said, "He who denies me, I will also deny..."

Repentance

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

In light of repentance being turning from unbelief to belief, how should we interpret Revelation when the churches are told to "repent"?

  • I've been prescribed Prozac for depression. But I'm afraid to take it because some say it's a replacement for Jesus. What should I do?
  • Joseph and Bob discuss the Trinity as declared in Scripture. 1 John 5:7

Prayer

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

You and I are "the hurt" and "the healer" is Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."

  • Where in the Bible does state it needs to be a public affair?
  • I would like to get clarity on the forgiveness issue. What about accountability?
  • At home I pray lengthy prayers, but in public they're short. How should I pray?
  • What do you have to say about pastors that are getting big salaries? Isn't their inheritance supposed to be God alone?

Blasphemy - Unforgivable?

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

Please help me understand blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.
