We are beneficiaries of the New Covenant. God is faithful and He has delivered on his promises. He did this in and through the person of Jesus Christ. What does it mean to you that God is faithful?

One of the things we learn about God is that He is faithful. We can count on Him. "God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord." 1 Corinthians 1:9 God desired for us to be in fellowship with Him and He called us into the fellowship of his Son.

God is faithful. Everything that He has promised us in the New Covenant has come true in the person and work of Jesus Christ. The character of God never changes and today we have a rest in Jesus that is better than any other kind of rest. We are safe and secure in Jesus forever.

What is God like? Is He interested in us? It's a mystery to us until it's revealed through the person of Jesus Christ. "May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to[c] his own glory and excellence..." 2 Peter 1:2-5

How does this knowledge of God help us in our day to day lives? "We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, 6 being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete." 2 Corinthians 10:5

If you want to know how to pray, just read through the letters of Paul and pay close attention to his prayers. In Ephesians 1:15 Paul writes: "For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers..."

God desires to reveal himself to mankind. He has revealed himself in the person of Jesus Christ. Paul says, "For God, who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness,' made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God's glory displayed in the face of Christ" (2 Cor. 4:6). We needed the knowledge of the glory of God and when we respond to him, that knowledge is deposited into our heart. We call that truth.

What do I do when I sin? That's a question we all ask at one time or another. Are we supposed to tithe? Is it an obligation that is placed on every single believer? What about sanctification? Do we have to do good works to continually work for sanctification? All of these questions come back to what you know about God's character. These are important topics and we want to have a robust conversation about them.
