Do You Believe Christ is Risen?

Bob Christopher, Richard Peifer

When you think that we who were dead in sin have been raised in Christ it's simply amazing. We see the resurrection of Jesus on nearly every page of the new testament. Romans 4:23-25 "The words 'it was credited to him' were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification."

Declared to Be the Son of God

Bob Christopher, Richard Peifer

In Romans 1 Paul writes: "...the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures regarding his Son, who as to his earthly life was a descendant of David, and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord." The story is about Jesus from start to finish.

Raised from the Dead

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

Of all the things in human history the resurrection of Jesus Christ is the one that brings hope to our lives. Consider this in 1 Peter, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead...". Just as Christ is raised from the dead physically we're raised from the dead spiritually.

I Want to Know Christ

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer, Andrew Farley

We know Jesus is alive because He was raised back to life. It's the center point of the New Testament. In Philippians 3:10-11 we read "I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead."

Interview with Mary DeMuth

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer, Mary DeMuth

Mary DeMuth joined us to introduce her new book, The Day I Met Jesus, co-authored with our good friend, Frank Viola. Mary loves to write and speak about the redemptive hand of God in impossible situations. In this new book, she and Frank write fictional accounts about 5 women who met Jesus. Each narrative is told from each woman's unique perspective, yet tightly grounded in the Gospel accounts and faithful to first-century history. This book blends creative narrative with uncommon insight, spiritual depth, and practical application. Even in today's times, many women are marginalized and need to encounter Christ Jesus and experience His overwhelming love.

Choose Life

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

We had a great time over the weekend at our conference in California meeting with so many people from all over the area. We had an opportunity to really layout the Gospel message. One of our signature verses is 2 Corinthians 3:6 "He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life." This new covenant is a covenant of life... it hinges on the resurrection. We go from death to life. Through faith in Jesus we choose life.

Hope in the Resurrection

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

"Mayday, Mayday, I'm sinking". This was the beginning line of an email I recently received. This man shared his story of struggle, pain, doubt and fear. My heart went out to him as I read these words - "Faith is hard for me. I have asked Christ come into my life many times but I no longer have the strength for the fight. I am just tired of the struggle". His story is not unique. His story was my story. At some time, we all question whether God truly loves us. Only the gospel of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of Jesus, speaks to this condition. With the resurrection, hope is injected into our day to day lives. How can we end the struggle and rest in what Christ has accomplished for us? Let's talk about it.
