Romans 7 explains how the resurrection impacts you directly - you died to the law, so that you now serve in the new life of the Spirit. This truth makes all the difference. Craig asks about Genesis 14:17-24, which is often used to support the practice of tithing. Jesus himself said that tithing is a matter of the law. We no longer are under the law and can practice the grace of giving from the heart. The next question is about 1 John 4:20, 4:8, 2:15. Does this mean we can never be annoyed with others?

There has been a life-change because of the resurrection. And the message of the resurrection is our message to the world. When Jesus started to tell the disciples this message, they didn't understand. Before the foundation of the world God had this plan that included Jesus. It was all a part of God's plan. Throughout the New Testament we see statements about eternal life. This is the goal and the prize. This is what God wants for us. There is a definition of eternal life in John 17:3 - "And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent." As we get to know God, we experience His gift of eternal life. So how does this work itself out? 1 John 2:12,14
