When we come to Christ by faith this spirit inside of us our spirit comes to life and is joined with His Spirit and we are joined to the church-the members of His body. We see this in Ephesians 2:14: "He has made the two groups one..."

I wanted to share Psalms 103... the first few verses: "Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed."

• 1 Samuel records that God sent an evil spirit. I have a problem understand how God could send evil.
• After reading the story of Jesus casting out the demon, what did He mean concerning fasting? Is this relevant to the New Covenant believer?
• I have a hard time forgiving someone who has really hurt me.
• My understanding of hell is a graveyard. Is there a place where those who died apart from Christ still have a conscience?

All this month we've been talking about "Forgiveness: The Door to Life". Why do we call it the "door to life"? Because if you haven't figured out what God has done with your sin you'll never come to Him.

• In Matthew 12:40 Jesus indicates that He would be 3 days and nights in the grave. Is it your opinion that Jesus went to hell to suffer there? Or did He go there to conquer hell and release the captives?
• I read through Proverbs to gain wisdom, but Solomon ended up worshipping foreign gods. How can I rely on Proverbs if he fell?
• What is the difference between God's warning to Adam and Eve knowing good from evil and Hebrews 5:14 where it states, "But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil."?
• Can you lose you lose your salvation?

Join us as Bob Christopher shares the meaning behind the Christmas Story. In our own minds, we felt that we were God's enemies, alienated from Him. Our sinful behavior causes us to think this. However, this is not what was true in God's mind. God sent His only Son into the world so that we would not perish. Immanuel means "God with us". Humanity was reconciled back to God through Christ's death. This is not a God who holds us as His enemies, rather, a God who cherishes His creation, regardless of our behavior. Christ in us, our hope of glory—that's Christmas.
