Religion can't give you a sense of being forgiven once and for all. When humanity invents a religion, they create a formula for you to follow. However, the Gospel claims that Jesus has cleansed us once and for all. Hebrews 10 proclaims this truth. We are totally forgiven people in Jesus Christ.

• Samuel wrote, "I was able to follow Christ in all simplicity by grace through faith just as Bob has been."
• Daniella asks about the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit and the spiritual attacks she's experiencing in her life creating dought of her salvation.
• There are many other verses that tell us that if we believe in Jesus we have eternal life, but the "depart from me I never knew you" is a very troubling verse to me.

Everybody needs hope. When people call a counselor or seek help it's most often because they've lost hope. The three marks of every believer are faith, hope, and love. A life of hope based in faith and lived out in love. " Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! Many of the shelter-in-place orders will be lifted today and while there will be a lot of caution moving forward, I wanted to remind us of this passage: "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might." Ephesians 6:10 We're built to be dependent upon Christ and to look to him for every once of our thinking, talking, and responding to others. How then shall we live?

Peter was the very first one to deliver the Gospel to the Gentiles. He preached the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He made this declaration: "To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name." Acts 10:43 If you're in Christ you have forgiveness of sins.

One thing we need in this world today is more encouragement. And those that offer encouragement is a breath of fresh air. Paul says that of grace. It's and encouragement to us. "And now I commend you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified." Acts 20:32 The grace of God builds us up.

We can't earn salvation. It's not a works based program. We see this in Romans 4 where Paul spells it out that the righteous will live by faith. And to that faith in imparted righteousness. Do you want to be right with God? Do you want to know that all is right between you and your creator? Christ dealt with your sins and took them away, giving you the very righteousness of Christ. Grace justifies you freely because of the work of Jesus Christ

• I don't recall a specific moment of salvation and I struggle with doubt concerning my salvation. What can I do?

The resurrection can be a hard fact to grasp. We see that in the Gospels as Jesus shares what's about to happen - his death, burial, and resurrection. In Matthew 17:22,23 we read, "As they were gathering in Galilee, Jesus said to them, 'The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him, and he will be raised on the third day.'" and the disciples' reaction: "...they were greatly distressed." Have you grabbed hold of the hope of the Gospel?

Romans 10:17 is so crystal clear: "Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ." This new way of life finds its essence in Jesus. It comes through hearing the message and that message is heard through hearing the word about Jesus Christ. You're not in the story until you believe the story.

• Is God angry? Romans 5:9 says Jesus satisfied his wrath. If he's angry why does he still want all to be saved?

Most of the questions concerning prophecy are motivated by fear. So often that's because we don't understand the "Christ Event" - what happened in the past. The forgiveness we have in Christ and the New Covenant that he ushered in. We can't discern exactly how prophecy will unfold, but we can look forward with hope and assurance. Jesus fulfilled the Old Covenant and ushered in the New Covenant.

2 Corinthians 10:4 "The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds." We have truth that can demolish these strongholds. The Holy Spirit lets us see them for what they are and to bring every thought to obedience in Jesus Christ. We can experience true freedom.

Love keeps no records of wrongs. This makes no sense to us. It's illogical to us. We keep records for years. But that's just the opposite of love. When you look at the different translations of that phrase you really get the full meaning. When we're wronged we come up with a plan to get even. But God isn't about getting even with us. He's the one being offended all the times, but he's not making plans of revenge. He is love and everything he does is out of his love for us.

1 John 4:10 "This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as as propitiation for our sins." This is one of those signature verses that we need to lean into on a daily basis and as we do the love of God will pour into our hearts and then into the lives of others. When we move our hearts to what Christ has done and are satisfied with his sacrifice then we're on the same page as God.

• According the New Covenant would a Christian still have to pay his ten percent?

In John 17 we read: "I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified." We are sanctified by the Word of God.
