Not Wanting Anyone to Perish

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

The Word of God is - no one knows the day or time. Paul wrote in 2 Thessalonians 2:2 "not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come."

  • Why did Paul promise the Thessalonians relief when Jesus came back in the 1st century if his parousia has been delayed for so long?
  • Joel asks how to answer those who - in light of current events - insist that we are close to the end.
  • 2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."

Don't Be Shaken

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

A special thanks to Real Life Bible Church in Temple Texas and all the folks who made it happen.

  • 2 Thessalonians 2 "Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, 2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come." Our Lord Jesus Christ is coming back and when he comes back we will be there with him. There's nothing to fear or to be alarmed by. What is this "Day of the Lord"? The second coming of Jesus Christ.

Promise and Blessing

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

The results of the survey we posted on End Times show that our listeners are secure in Christ. They do have questions, but are overall secure in their faith. Often times we get caught up in trying to explain the End Times and miss Jesus. The Word of God testifies to Jesus Christ from beginning to end. Jesus shows up in your life and says "Peace. Be still." When you look to Christ he calms the troubled soul.

  • What is special about September 23? Revelation 12:1-6 "And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. ..."

Worthy Is Christ

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer, Andrew Farley

Thank you to all the supporters who stand with us to get the message out. When you think of the word "prophecy" you need to think about Jesus. In the end prophecy is about him. The world will see Jesus for who he is and will see us for who we are in Christ. Revelation 5 declares that Jesus Christ alone is worthy to open the scroll. "Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God"

The Word of Prophecy

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

The word of prophecy is Jesus Christ. If we're going to have a clear look at the future, we have to look at it through the lens of Jesus Christ. Our conquerer, our king, our lord. The one who will establish his kingdom forever. "And behold, One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven. Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed" (Daniel 7:13-14).

We Will Be With the Lord Forever

What about those who are asleep? 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 "Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. ... Therefore encourage one another with these words."

Am I Forgiven or Not? - Part 2

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

Are there two different types of forgiveness? The writer of Hebrews proclaims the clear answer - there is only one forgiveness. Hebrews 10 is one of, if not the, most powerful chapters in the Word of God as it relates to the finished work of Jesus Christ. It ties everything together regarding Jesus' sacrifice to take away the sins of the world. The law is only a shadow of the good things coming to us in Christ. Jesus offered himself to establish the new covenant. "By that will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all" (Hebrews 10:10). Knowing you have received 'once for all' forgiveness changes your heart and gives you the confidence to draw near to God. Believer, you have been sanctified, you have been made holy, and you have forgiveness of sins. That's good news!
