God is Love

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer, Andrew Farley

Why is love the greatest of the three? Faith, Hope, and Love. God is love. It's at the core of His motivation toward us. When we read 1 Corinthians 13 we need to see that this is the character of God that's being described. It comes from the very core of who God is. As we live in and through Christ we will see the fruit of the Sprit coming out of us.

Faith, Hope, and Love

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

Jesus' question, "Who do you say I am?", is one we all have to answer. It's at the core of everything we believe. As we read the Bible to get to know Jesus it drives our hearts to faith. All the Old Covenant prophets were pointing to the day of Christ. And the New Covenant brought into effect through the resurrection of Jesus is our hope in this life that we too will be raised with Him. As we walk in faith we see His life being expressed through us in love. We see that it all rests upon faith in Jesus that gives us true hope in this life to walk in God's love as we live this Christian life.

True Identity: Children of God

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

We wrestle with identity. Adam and Eve never asked those questions until after the fall. And with identity, we ask about our purpose and why we're here. In John 1:9 we read: "The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world." Jesus is the true light and in Him we find our true identity as a child of God. "to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God" John 1:12

Abundant Life in Christ

Bob Christopher, Richard Peifer

We're talking about Law and Grace. The word's system is based on law and in Colossians we read about how the rules and regulations have no value in restraining sensual indulgence. The only way to live this Christian life is by grace through faith.

The Purpose of the Law

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

How is your Christian life really supposed to work? We field all sorts of questions, but one think underscores all those questions and that's "how does this Christian life work"? This Christian life is by grace through faith. Romans 10 Paul writes, "Christ is the end of the law so there might be righteousness for everyone who believes". Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness. Now that we've come to Christ we are no longer under the supervision of the law.

A Better Sacrifice

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

Today is a special day on the Jewish calendar. It's Yom Kippur. Let's look at how Jesus fulfilled this sacrifice once and forever. The writer of Hebrews compares and contrasts those two sacrifices and what the "once and for all" sacrifice of Jesus did for us. But so often we miss the finished work of Christ and return to an Old Covenant mentality, not realizing our sins have been forgiven.

Christianity is About New Life

Your Sins Are Forgiven

Richard Peifer, Bob Davis

Lets talk about how forgiven you and I are in light of the following passages John 10:17, 18, John 19:28-30, Hebrews 9:28, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 9:22, Romans 5:10, 1 John 2:12, Colossians 2:13 and Acts 10:43. These passages paint the beautiful picture of forgiveness. Until you deal with forgiveness, you will never experience the abundant life.

Redemption: The Forgiveness of Sins

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

All the promises of the New Covenant rests upon the work Jesus finished upon the cross. In Hebrews 8 we read, "For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more." and in the 10th chapter He repeats it: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more." The fact that we can say we are forgiven in Christ Jesus is Good News. When you received Christ, you received forgiveness.
