We're talking about how we can make the Gospel relevant to people today. We see people making choices believing they are choosing freedom, yet that are really choosing death. Before Adam and Even sinned God had told them, the day they ate of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, they would die. And in their decision to eat from the tree, they chose death. God's grace sent Jesus so we could be rescued from darkness to light - from bondage to freedom.

2000 years ago darkness covered the land. The darkest day of human history. And out of that darkness came light. The light of the world. Paul writes about this: "Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." Galatians 1:3-5 Only the Gospel message can offer hope. We can try many things, but it doesn't change the nature of the world system.

In the midst of the big issues that we see in this world, believers are asking "what should we do"? Some are fading away. But it's not time to fade away, but to stand for the truth. We look at the problems of the world and beneath all those problems is that they don't know God. Once people know God things will change. Be courageous and deliver the knowledge of God.

Hebrews 618, 19a "God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. We have this hope as an anchor for the soul..." The Old Covenant is filled with promises man made to God. But man is the worst "promise keepers". But we find in the New Covenant that it is God who keeps the promise and He is the ultimate promise keeper.

Ephesians 6:10, 11 "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes." When you're truly free, you're able to stand.

• When did the church start believing that when you died you immediately go to Heaven, Hell, or Purgatory?
• Can you please explain: 1 Timothy 5:11-12 in contrast to Colossians 1:23? One seems to say one can leave the faith and the other that one can't be moved from the faith.

I've yet to meet a person who hasn't experienced trials and tribulations. What does freedom look like in the midst of our trials? It allows us to trust the Lord. And allows us to answer the question, "Is Jesus enough?". When we ask it, the Lord says "Yes".
