I think we're in the most exciting week of the calendar for Christians. The resurrection of Jesus is good news for those who turn to Him and receive Him. Apart from His resurrection there is no hope. Resurrection gives us Hope, Life, and Power.

"Because of the resurrection the same grace that saved me is the same grace that lives through me. The implications of the resurrection I've been learning has been astonishing to me. I have a new shame-free identity. He has taken that away. One of the greatest things I'm getting in touch with is not only being loved by God, but being able to love God." The evidence of the Gospel is seen in us who have come to Christ. And it's seen in a very practical way. In John 13:34-35 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

This is the most significant week on the Christian calendar. I love how the Gospel writers layout this week as it starts with Jesus riding on a donkey and the palm branches laid out. They were looking for a king to rescue them. But He came to become Lord and King of our life.

All of Christianity hinges on the fact that Jesus Christ rose from the dead. There are those that argue against this, but there is simply too much evidence for the resurrection. And what that means to us is that when we come to Him, we too are raised from the dead.
