Love Always Protects

Today we're going to talk about protection in relationships. We need a place where we can feel safe. If we don't have that we walk in fear. All of this finds it's proper place in the protection God gives to us. The word protect comes from a roofing term... to protect those inside the house. We see this in Noah's life when his two sons covered his naked body.

  • My mother went to be with the Lord last week. It is a great comfort to know she's in Heaven now.
  • How do you deal with someone who claims to be a believer but is unkind?
  • My husband, who has been a pastor, is divorcing me and is full of anger. Is there any hope for my marriage?

Built on Truth

  • One of the things I've asked God for is patience and I found my patience being tested. In God's love you can withstand anything.

The Most Important Relationship

The most important relationship we need to settle is the one with God. The death, burial, and resurrection of Christ is proof that God wants a relationship with us. Colossians 1:19-20 "For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross."

Bob Christopher shares a personal story that impacted his life.   • If you were convinced that God exists, would you want to get to know Him? The good news is that God's desire is to be in relationship with us! We can do that through Jesus Christ!
  • Think about this - we treat others in the same way that we think God treats us. If we are judgmental of others, it's because we think God judges us. If we treat others with grace and mercy, it is because we know we know the grace and mercy of God.
