Grace and Peace

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

Paul started every letter the same way. Grace and peace to you... Paul had learned that the peace of God - the common greeting Shalom - was only available when you experienced the grace of God. The grace of God ushers the peace of God into your lives.

Rock Solid

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Andrew Farley

We can truly experience joy and contentment in our Christian life. A lot of us spend our life in Christ looking forward to a future date. But, in Christ, we can be satisfied here and now. Instead of worry and fear, we can believe the promise of God to take care of us. Knowing that your contentment is rock solid in Christ will carry you through any circumstance you may experience.

To Be Content

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

We search for joy, contentment, and peace in all kinds of things in this world. But true joy, contentment, and peace is only found in Christ. And nothing can separate you from the love of Christ Jesus. Paul writes: "I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at length you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned for me, but you had no opportunity. Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. ... I can do all things through him who strengthens me." Philippians 4:10-13

Whatever is True

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

We get so much bad news in the world today and it's so easy to get sucked into that. But there's a solution to that. Paul tells us in Philippians 4:8 "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."

Power of 8: The Reality of the Resurrection, Part 2

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

The resurrection impacts our daily lives. The first impact is that the resurrection means we have eternal life. The resurrection is God's pronouncement that Jesus is the Son of God. Because of this, we can be assured that He has power over death and that he can raise us to new life... eternal life. Once we have eternal life, then we will begin to experience freedom and change in our daily life. The next impact is assurance. Life is in Jesus Christ. If you have Jesus, you have eternal life. That is assurance. It's not just a hope, but a steadfast assurance.

Power of 8: The Reality of the Resurrection, Part 1

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

The story of Jesus is the death, burial, resurrection and ascension. The resurrection of Christ Jesus is where we experience new life. In the book of Romans 1:3-4 Paul makes a point to mark the resurrection as God's stamp of approval that what Jesus claimed about himself was true. But the resurrection is so much more than just an apologetic; it is the power of the Gospel.

Faith Says Thank You

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

"Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. ... And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:4-7 All of us will face troubles in this life. We get anxious about what will happen because we're not in control. This is common to all of us, however we can have the peace of God.

Joy and Contentment

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Andrew Farley

The message of Paul is joy and contentment in Philippians. Throughout this he weaves the story of the Gospel. " But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself." Philippians 3:20-21

Your Standing is Secure

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

When we're trying to fight against the things of the world they will try to consume us. That's why the understanding of law and grace is so important. " ... For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ ... " Philippians 3:8-9

What Does The Bible Say About Racism?

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

The term racism assumes that there are multiple races, and that one group thinks it is superior to another. The Bible speaks loud and clear to the topic of racism and gives clear instruction in how we are to treat one another. In God's plan, there is only one race with multiple ethnicities. Within that framework, God shows no favoritism.
