• In this day and age it is a stand to hold on to truth of God's grace. A lot of us have one foot in and one foot out daring to believe the fulness of grace in Christ.
• I was struck by the holiness of truth and that it's the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life."

• When we read about prayer we find we're supposed to "pray in the spirit". What does it mean to "pray in the spirit"?

As believers we are called to walk in the spirit. We were raised to walk in the newness of life. Galatians 5:16 "So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh." The end result is that you will not fulfill the desires of the flesh.

• Yesterday we talked about the meaning of Pentecost and it really ties to the temple of God. So often we look to a building as the church, but the we as believers are the church. We are the temple of God. God doesn't live in buildings, He lives in something He has built. We are now a building block in the temple of Jesus Christ.

One of the ways we realize what the love of God has done in us is what we celebrate. And one of those things is Pentecost. It's 50 days after the resurrection, and will be June 8 this year. Jesus set the stage — He told the disciples to stay in Jerusalem — to wait on the Holy Spirit.

• What does it mean to believe in Jesus?

It was one year ago today that we premiered on WFIA, WAVA, and WMCA.

• God's Spirit teaches us and leads us each and every day. What are the ways the Spirit of God leads us?
• I'm starting to see in Scripture that righteousness is to order your thoughts with God's thoughts. So does our salvation have everything to do with our righteousness in God? Does our salvation have to do with totality of our words?

We're talking about the Holy Spirit and I think this is one of the most confusing topics there are because of how many different opinions there are out there. We'll be talking about the practical role of the Holy Spirit in your life today. We're going to start today in John 16:7-11 "But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you..."

Paul said that in his life he was constrained by the love of God. And that's how we are to live, motivated by the love of God. Some can look at this legalistically and try to do it in the flesh, but that can't be done. What God wants for us is to grow in our understanding of the love of God. Ephesians 3:16-21 I challenge you to make this your prayer.

The God of this universe has come to live inside of us. That was mind boggling when I came to understand this. I thought it was all up to me to live the Christian life. But the truth is that we have His Spirit to lead us and guide us. Ephesians 5:18,21 "Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit... Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ."
