Let No Debt Remain Outstanding

Romans 13:8 "Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another." I've never met a person that doesn't worry. We all worry and one of the things we worry about is how to pay our debts. If we can learn to worship the Lord and be content in who He is, then we will see that debt being eliminated.

  • Can you recommend a church in this area?
  • What happens if someone turns from God and says they don't believe anymore?
  • Do we repent of our sins or did Jesus die for them?
  • Do you think the Apostles didn't repeat the Lord's prayer because it was fulfilled?

Seek First His Kingdom

Towards the end of the Sermon on the Mount Jesus turns our attention to our human needs. He told us, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life..." Seek first His kingdom.

The Secret of Being Content

Concerning the basic Gospel we have a secret to share with you. Paul tells us about this in Philippians 4:11-13 "I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through Him who gives me strength."

  • When we grab hold of Christ we can let go of all fear and become content in Him.
  • I just broke up after six years. I thought this person was the one and now find myself disappointed and caught up in the past. How do I overcome this hurt?
  • When you know people you thought were saved and then say "I just don't believe anymore", what happened?

Never Will I Forsake You

  • I want to say such an encouragement in my lonely hour.
  • In the OT idols are always objects or false gods, but most preachers talk about things in our everyday lives as idols today. Can our jobs, hobbies, or even our ministries become idols?

  • I live in an area that has many churches, but find none that deliver the message the way you do. I don't commune with others. Should I commune with others?

Finding Contentment in Christ

In John chapter 6 we read Jesus' claim: "I am the bread of life." This is one of the seven "I am" statements. The fact that Jesus is alive, He can say that to us right now. Only Jesus Christ can satisfy the deepest longing of our souls.

  • How do you find peace when you don't have anyone in your corner and a long history of neglect and abandonment?
  • Why would God bless Solomon with riches if that condemns him?

The Bread of Life

Jesus made this bold proclamation in John 6:35 "I am the bread of life." Jesus is alive today and the claim that He made wasn't just for those in Bible times, but for us here today. Jesus is reaching out to you saying, "Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."

  • If we are truly in Christ we will find a growing dissatisfaction with this world because the world is opposed to God's standards.
  • Is Romans 10:9 similar to 1 John 1:9? Is that a salvation passage?
  • What is the significance of Matthew 27:25 "All the people answered, 'His blood is on us and on our children!'" today?
