The Christmas Story - Luke

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

Merry Christmas from Basic Gospel! As we do in my house on Christmas morning, let's read the Christmas story together. As the angel pronounced on that glorious morning, 'Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people." Today, as you gather with those you love, celebrate the greatest gift of all - Jesus Christ.

The Christmas Story - Matthew

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

On this special Christmas Eve broadcast, we look at Matthew's recording of the Christmas story. It is a unique look at the story through the eyes of Joseph. When Joseph found that Mary was with child, he was understandably concerned and intended to break the engagement. However, the angel of the Lord appeared and gave Joseph the assurance that he was an important part of the Christmas story.

A Servant Among Us

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

"Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men." Philippians 2:5 Here's the Christmas story. A picture of humility to show us how we are to receive the Lord.

Full of Grace and Truth

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. ... And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1:1-3, 14

When Christ Came Into This World

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

This week we'll look at several Scriptures that we don't often associate with the Christmas story. In Hebrews we read: "Consequently, when Christ came into the world, ..." Hebrews 10:5-10 God prepared a body for Christ with a purpose. "And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all."

Simple Gospel, Simply Grace - Part 23

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

"I know God has forgiven me but I'm having trouble forgiving myself." If you've had this thought, the answer is found in resting in the finished work of Jesus Christ. When we rest in Him we are agreeing that he has forgiven all of our sins and we are rejoicing in that truth.

Made New in Christ

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

When you came into this world you were in Adam, dead in your sins. But when you come to Christ you are made alive in him. His life becomes your life. You are a new creation. You have been born again in Christ. And there is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.

The Greatest Gift

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Andrew Farley

Jesus came full of grace and truth. And the truth he brings is a gift to you. Romans 6:23 states: "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." This is truly the greatest gift we could ever receive.

The World Will be Blessed

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

Regardless of whatever is going on in our daily lives we have Jesus. He has promised to never leave us or forsake us. This month we're making the case for grace and we'd love to hear your grace story as well. It's amazing as you read the Scripture to see who God uses to bring his plan to completion. Think about Abraham's story.
