Everything you see on the news is about this coronavirus. And so much of the response is to shutdown everything to reduce the spread of the disease. But all of that stirs up fear. Even the shopkeepers are seeing fear in their customer's eyes. So what are we afraid of? What is putting fear in your heart? Hebrews 13:5,6, 1 Timothy 1:7, and 1 Peter 5:7.

Jesus Christ is the Great "I Am". He declares this throughout the Gospels and underscores this through statements like: "I am the resurrection and the life", "I am the bread of life", "I am the way, the truth, and the life", and more. When you get to know Jesus, you will get to know the "I am". For he "is the vine and you are the branches". And when you become attached to the vine by believing the Gospel and receiving his life, he is where we live our lives and we will bear the fruit of his life in the world today. Live in the confidence you have being rooted in The Great "I am".

The Word of God reveals that God is a creator. We read this in John's Gospel and the first verses echo Genesis. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. ..." John 1:1-4 What does it mean to us that Jesus is the creator?

Christianity truly is a relationship. What does that mean? God desires a relationship with you. That is made possible through Christ. In Hebrews 1:1-4 it's written: "...but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. ..." The writer proclaims that God and Jesus are one in the same. Do you want to know what God is like? Look at Jesus.
