The Great "I Am": The Resurrection and the Life

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

Jesus made this claim: "I AM the Resurrection and the Life". This is the heart and soul of Christianity. Without the resurrection, we are still in our sins, our faith is futile and Christianity is useless. But, thanks be to God, because Jesus lives, we have eternal life. That is the good news!

No More Sacrifice

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

"...then he adds, 'I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.' Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin." Hebrews 10:17-18 Jesus dealt with our sin at the cross. Sin has been judged and condemned to the fullest extent. And because Jesus' sacrifice was sufficient there is no more sacrifice to be made.

Forgiveness Opens a Door

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Andrew Farley

Forgiveness opens a door for us to experience God's grace. Peter writes about this in second letter: "... For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins." 2 Peter 1:5-10 We are as forgiven today as we will ever be.

Rooted in the Forgiveness of God

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

When we talk about forgiveness we have to talk about God's love. Apart from his love there is no forgiveness for us. Love keeps no records of wrongs. And God is love.

Live to Righteousness

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

"For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps. He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth. ... He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed." 1 Peter 2:21-25 Jesus Christ healed your soul and now it wants to live for righteousness. Entrust yourself to the Father just as Jesus did.

The Great "I Am": The Good Shepherd

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

The relationship Jesus has with his sheep is like his relationship with his Father. His sheep hear his voice and follow him. Those who do not believe Jesus are not his sheep. Jesus gives his sheep eternal life. His sheep are safe and secure in his hand. Jesus is truly the Good Shepherd who genuinely cares for you and me.

Life - Abundant and Free

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Andrew Farley

Peter was the very first one to deliver the Gospel to the Gentiles. He preached the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He made this declaration: "To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name." Acts 10:43 If you're in Christ you have forgiveness of sins.

A Friend of God

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

Today is "Make a Friend Day". And we're here to make friends. Jesus had this conversation with his disciples, "No longer do I call you servants, ... but I have called you friends, " John 15:15 Moses was also known as "a friend of God". When we know that we are friends... children of God... then we know we are secure in Christ.
