Interview with Ralph Harris

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer, Ralph Harris

Ralph Harris joins us today for the broadcast. He shares his story of coming to faith in Christ. "Simply by remain in his love for me all else dropped away. All I wanted to know was his perfect love for me. Years ago, God convinced me in a single moment that He found no fault with me because of what He had done for me, and that He loved me perfectly. That re-set my life on a course to keep discovering why and how He'd done that and why He loved me...perfectly? Yes. Perfectly. There is nobody better—and I love knowing Him more than anything else." ralphharris.org

'This is My Beloved Son'

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

The Bible is a supernatural book and its meaning has to be revealed to you supernaturally. 2 Peter 1:16-21 For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For when he received honor and glory from God the Father, and the voice was borne to him by the Majestic Glory, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased, ..." This is the story God has told about his son Jesus Christ.

Understanding His Word

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

In order to understand the Bible we need to understand it's all about Jesus. When we look to the Bible to learn how to earn God's acceptance we miss the grace and mercy poured out upon us. So we need to read it with the understanding of God's grace. And when we study it is only the Holy Spirit that can reveal the true meaning of the Word of God.

The Veil Has Been Lifted

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

We read Paul's condemnation of the Old Covenant in 2 Corinthians. Does the law have a role? Yes. It shows us our need for Jesus Christ. In 2 Corinthians 3:12-18 we read, "Since we have such a hope, we are very bold, not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face so that the Israelites might not gaze at the outcome of what was being brought to an end. ... And we all, with unveiled face ... are being transformed into the same image"

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Richard Peifer

I know many of us make resolutions as the new year begins. And one of those is reading the Bible. But so many don't know how to read the Bible. They miss the point of the Bible. So what is the point of this book? Luke 24:7 "And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself."

Many people begin the New Year with the resolution to read the Bible. But the better resolution is one that commits to read the Bible with the intention of getting to know the Author. He's the Real Thing

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

Don't go into 2019 missing the real thing. The real thing is the person of Jesus Christ. Colossians 2:16-19 "Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ. ..." People often feel empty even though they are following all the religious rituals and activities that they think are necessary in order to live the Christmas life. But, the truth is those are just shadows. The substance of faith is only found in Jesus Christ. In Him, you are made complete. The answers for the human heart are all found in the real One, Jesus Christ. If you are feeling that something is missing in the very depth of your soul, open your heart and receive Jesus Christ. Once you have been made complete in Him, your search will be over and you will be free to grow in your knowledge of Him.

We Call it Good News

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

My favorite telling of the birth of Christ is Luke's Gospel. Luke 2:8-19 "... And the angel said to them, 'Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.' ..."

  • One of the New Covenant promises that you included in your Devotional was: "No longer will a man teach his neighbor..." Hebrews 8:11 Can you please explain it for me?
