Romans 12:1, 2 "I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice ... " As you begin to see people the way God sees people - all were created in His image - then we begin to see people differently and that's when change can start to happen. And that's when we will have something to say in the world concern all the social justice issues.

How do we as Christians address the social problems of today? Ephesians 2:14 states: "For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility". When it comes to social issues there are divisions and factions based on all kinds of things. But in Ephesians we see Jesus Christ as the unifier. We can relate to others through who we are in Jesus.

Today is a special day for many believers. It's Billy Graham's 99th birthday. He stood firm in delivering the Gospel to the world. Every family goes through the death of a loved one at some point. My step-dad passed away Sunday and it is a comfort to know that he is with the Lord.

How does the Gospel speak to the issues in this world? How do we make things right? How do we balance these things? We are light in this role and we need to let our light shine in this world. Our purpose individually and corporately is to deliver the knowledge of God. When people see God for who he is, they will glorify His name. Colossians 1:9-13 gives us the perspective from which our purpose is fulfilled.

How do we impact the world? How do we turn people back to God? It's a very difficult situation, but the Word of God gives us answers, hope, and direction. And we want to talk about those passages that address these issues this month. Today let's look at Matthew 5:14, 15 "Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house ..."

2 Peter 1:3, 4 "His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. When you take a look at the world around you, you know it's crazy. Satan lives to steal, kill, and destroy.

Today is the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther nailing his 95 Thesis to the door of the castle church. This created a ripple effect throughout Christianity. So are there things we should be protesting in the church today? Throughout history there's a tendency for world events to cover up the Gospel. But there's no more important story than the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We need to always be prepared to clear the clutter and be sure His Story stands front and center.

There's a brotherhood, a camaraderie, that binds these bikers together. There's a sense of belonging. But the grace of God transcends all situations in the world. Nothing is a surprise to God. It's only when our faith is truly called upon that we find out what we truly believe.
