Forgiveness and Righteousness

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

How has the pandemic altered your life? One of the things we've learned is how important our relationship with Jesus Christ is. So often we give it little more than lip service. I hope and pray that many are realizing their faith is genuine, rock-solid, and stronger than ever.

  • The Book of Romans is the case for grace. We read, "or all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus..." Romans 3:23-24
  • Please explain 1 John 5:6 "This is the one who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood."
  • If God decides who he wants to be saved and those whom He doesn't, doesn't that take freewill out of the picture? What are your thoughts? Thanks

It's Good News

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

As we open up the country I know there's still a lot of panic and anxiety out there. How are you dealing with this? What is your take?

  • One thing we know is that we don't have to give into panic and fear. Why? Because we have Jesus with us. And it is his presence that will move us forward and take us through. It is through his grace and we will never reach the grace of God.
  • Bob from Facebook says: "I have to stay on the sidelines. I'm 60 and I have MS. I know Jesus is with me but be gave me a brain as well as faith. For me, I have to be cautious."
  • Sean says as a security guard he's been working the whole time and certainly knows we need to trust God as we move forward.
  • Max talks about starting up his Bible studies again and doing them outside to practice social distancing.
  • Kent asks Bob to explain Hebrews 6:4.

A New Heart

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

Today is a special day. It's been 75 years since Victory in Europe (VE) Day. We've also been celebrating medical professionals this week. Especially nurses and we appreciate how they serve the medical needs of the community. Yesterday was The National Day of Prayer and many participated in that. We need to pray for our nation and its leaders. Let's pray for opportunities to deliver this good news.

  • Please explain Ezekiel 36:26.
  • Is there a special way to pray?

The Life of Faith

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

We want you to understand this grace of God that was poured out upon you through Jesus Christ. Today let's look at Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

  • I believe if you take you own life your spirit is in limbo and doesn't know he can cross over. What happens when you do that?
  • Did God have to breath life into Jesus when he was resurrected?
  • A Canadian listener writes why he supports Basic Gospel.
  • When we pass from this life, are we immediately in the presence of God ... or are we at rest until the day of the rapture when we are resurrected?

Grace and Truth

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis, Andrew Farley

So often when people think about God they think of a God full of vengeance. But when we see Jesus we see a God full of grace and truth. We seek closeness and we find in in Jesus Christ. Jesus' prayer for us that we would be one just as he and the Father are on. We are in the family - in the family of God.

  • How do unbelievers know the truth if they haven't come to Jesus? I believe Hebrews 10:26-27 is for believers, because believers still sin.
  • I don't believe there's provision for remarriage in the Scripture.
  • I'm afraid of the Rapture and end times. I don't want to go through the tribulation. How do I respond to this?

Free in Christ Jesus

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

The biggest fear people face is the fear of death. The death, the burial, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ can put away that fear of death and liberate someone to experience the abundant life. "Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil ..." Hebrews 2:14,15

  • Why did Jesus use the word "hate" in Luke 14:26? Was he talking to women about being disciples?
  • How are we to understand Genesis 32:28? "Then he said, 'Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed.'"
  • I was just wondering about being buried or cremated because it says you will go back to dust or ashes?
  • Who created the world? In Genesis it states God created and in the New Covenant it states that Jesus created.
  • Please explain Hebrews 10:26, 27 - "If we deliberately keep on sinning ..."

Back to the Basics

Bob Christopher, Bob Davis

When life gets messy, chaotic, and confusing, what do we do? The wise return to the basics. When we lose our focus, we need to step back and refocus to the basics. "For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 3:11

  • Is it a sin to live with your girlfriend?
  • What was the length of the plagues in Exodus?
  • I've been married and divorced. Can I remarry?
